Illness or Family Emergencies / Missed Lessons

Please do not schedule classes if you cannot attend. Only one class per session will be rescheduled and only if I have received at least 24-hour advance notice in cases of family emergencies or illness. Advanced notice gives me the opportunity to use your spot for a child who is entitled to a make up. Typically there are no free spots available during a session. The onus is on the parent to contact Sandy each day to enquire if a spot is available for a makeup.

Makeup classes may not be transferred from one swim season to another. All classes must be rescheduled during the present swim season. Please do not request make up classes if you are not entitled to them.

NEW: A $10 rescheduling fee paid in advance, will apply in instances where a make up class is requested with exception of reasons provided above and/or when advance notice is not provided.

If your child has been diagnosed with an infectious disease after participating in swim classes please be considerate and notify Sandy as soon as possible so additional santization measures can be taken.

Rain Policy (outdoor pools)

Classes will operate in the rain.  If you choose not to attend you are not entitled to a make up class. In the case of inclement weather the instructor will consult with the host and cancel classes if there is lightning. Please keep in mind that although it may be storming where you are – it does not mean that it is storming at the lesson location. Once the decison is made to cancel a lesson the host or instructor will  call particiapnts asap.  Please ensure we have your cell number. If you attempt to contact the instructor and dont recieve a response then we are teaching. We do not cancel lessons in anticipation of poor weather. Classes cancelled because of inclement weather will be rescheduled.

If you have registered with a different surname than your child’s please include ensuring payment is captured for the right child. Please include completed waiver and release of liability form in the envelope.

Lifeguards for Hire

If you are having a pool party consider hiring a certified Lifeguard for your event. $25 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours. Please contact Sandy if you are interested. All our lifeguards are NLS (National Lifesaving Society) certified.

Infants and Tots

Babies and tots who do not have bowel control must wear snug protective swim diapers to avoid fouling in the pool. We ask that children under 3 years and are potty trained wear snug fitting swim wear or a snug fitting garment for the same reason. At the Niagara Falls location parents must purchase a reusable swim diaper from AquaFit Naagara to participate in classes. Please avoid booking swim classes during times that your infant or toddler routinely has bowel movements. Should you notice that your child has soiled his swim diaper once you have removed him/her from the pool please advise the instructor. Please avoid excessive eating or drinking prior to lessons.

We suggest that you shower infants and young toddlers immediately after swimming to avoid skin irritations.
